On campus -- Young Apartments and Munro Hall

The ENC campus is compact, but bring your walking shoes—you will be criss-crossing this lovely wooded area throughout the day. We have two types of residence halls available for Conference housing. Laundry facilities are available in each dorm. More pictures are available through the ACL 2008 Boston Facebook group.

Young Apartments

Spacious two-bedroom suites with a common area and private bath. Room for four, with A/C in one of the two bedrooms. Windows overlook campus and parking lot. Common area has countertop, mirror and sink. Bathroom has combination tub/shower. Lounge located on each floor. Handicap Accessible. Very private, comfortable lodging.

(We plan to fill Young Apartments to capacity, so please make arrangements with those you may know and be as specific as you can on your registration form, or allow us to assign you and get acquainted with some new colleagues. For those ready and willing to meet new people, we will do our best to make sure your stay is hassle-free.)

Munro Hall

L-shaped dorm with cozy two-person rooms. Each room has brand new furniture and two large closets. Centered on campus, each window has landscaped views. Two bathrooms located on each floor, with individual shower stalls. Lounge located on each floor. Three entrances allow for easy access to campus locations. Munro Hall is one of the earliest buildings on the ENC campus and does not have air conditioning; it does have windows which are fitted with new screens and can be opened. We are offering double and single room choices in this charming facility with refurbished community bathrooms.

Off Campus

There are several hotels and motels in the Quincy area. Some have shuttles from the Boston airport—be sure to inquire about their schedules and policies when you book your room. You will be responsible for your own transportation to the campus each day. These are the hotels and motels we recommend. We have noted ENC/Conference prices. Book your rooms as soon as possible; June is a very popular time for people to visit the Boston area!

Hampton Inn/Braintree. The Eastern Nazarene College rate is $99/night which will extend to the conference attendees. (mention: Eastern Nazarene College, Jun 9th, Association of Christian Librarians for the $99 rate.) It's a pretty new Hampton Inn and quite nice. It's located on a road near the mall and lots of office parks. Continental breakfast is included, but they have no restaurant and it would require vehicles to get to lunch and dinner. Adams Inn/Best Western Quincy. Adams Inn is a local place on the Neponset River with a gazebo and walking trails. There is a small restaurant that serves lunch and dinner and continental breakfast is included with the room. It is close to more restaurants, but most would require a car. It is close to the North Quincy MBTA subway stop, and is 1.6 miles from the college. Ask about the schedule of their airport shuttle and a shuttle to the North Quincy T stop. Car rentals can be arranged for pick-up at the Inn. The Conference rate, available until May 14 as rooms are available, starts at $129 a night. 29 Hancock Street, Quincy. Ph: 617-328-1500. When making reservations, call 800-368-4012. Use Group Code "CGACLC." Individuals may cancel without penalty up to 24 hours prior to scheduled arrival date. Rooms may be reserved at this price until May 14th, 2008, or until the block of rooms is all spoken for, so make your travel plans soon.

Boston Marriott Hotel/Quincy. The Marriott is 3.4 miles from the college and has at least one restaurant. It's also kind of isolated in an office park and would require driving to meals not eaten on site. 1000 Marriott Drive, Quincy. Ph: 617.472.1000
